Genre

My magazine will consist of a range of musicians, from similar but different genres. For example Hunx, Crystal Castles, GroupLove, The Vaccines, and The Cure. They are all of an alternative/indie style but Crystal Castles have more of a techno sound, contrasting with the sound of GroupLove which is much more indie pop and focuses on the lyrics.
I have chosen not to stick to techno music alone as the magazine would then have a niche market appeal. My chosen genre range is still small and all categorises under 'alternative' which means the magazine would not appeal to Hip-Hop or Rap music fans, so it could not be sold as a mainstream magazine either.
